IN THE NEWS: APPLE BEEFS UP SECURITY FORCE SAN FRANCISCO (AP) _ Apple is apparently looking to beef up its corps of security pros. Its website recently listed a pair of job openings for managers of ``new product security.'' That comes the day after a report surfaced that an Apple employee had lost a prototype for a new, but unreleased, iPhone at a Northern California bar. Assuming the positions are filled, the workers would join a security team that has included ex-FBI agents and other highly trained pros with backgrounds in intelligence and law enforcement. Corporate experts say companies like Apple need the best protection they can buy.

IN THE NEWS: MORE ADS COMING TO MOBILE PHONES NEW YORK (AP) _ Major newspapers and retailers are teaming up to put more advertising into mobile phones through a new service developed by The Associated Press. The feature is called iCircular. And it will star appearing today in mobile phone apps of participating newspapers. The iCircular package is designed to be the digital equal of the coupons, ad inserts and other promotions that show up in the weekend editions of newspapers. Among the papers who are adding iCircular to their phone apps include the New York Daily News and the Los Angeles Times.

ON THE WEB: BEWARE OF SEARCHING CELEBS CYBERSPACE (AP) _ Watch out for Heidi Klum (KLOOM). Not that she's a bad egg or anything. It's just that people who end up searching for her are more likely to be hit with malicious software than any other celebrity. The report is being issued by McAfee (MAK'-uh-fee) _ the computer security company. Computer hackers often include attack commands into photos, videos and other content linked to famous people, especially women _ who are more likely to be the subject for searches of racy photos.

And they are showing up as titles for the newest hand-held gaming console. Pac-Man and Galaga are combined in a new title for the Nintendo 3DS. The game, from Namco Bandai is playable in both 2D and 3D versions. The Pac-Man game lets you control the action by tilting the device. Between the 2D and 3D versions and two versions of each game, there are six titles in all. The game is rated E 10+ by the ESRB, with an advisory for comic mischief and fantasy violence.
