OpenDesks Launches Interactive Map for Finding and Booking Workspace

CONSHOHOCKEN, Pa. --(Business Wire)--

OpenDesks released "Workspace Map" today, an interactive map that helps mobile professionals locate and book places to meet and work on-demand. The feature is the latest move in OpenDesks' quest to become the go-to shared resource solution for the growing mobile workforce.

"We designed Workspace Map to meet the unique and increasingly diverse needs of the mobile workforce," said founder and CEO Chris DiFonzo. "The growing market for on-demand workspace necessitates providing a greater range of space options, along with a highly customized yet streamlined booking process. This is where OpenDesks consistently distinguishes itself."

The interactive map is available at http://www.opendesks.com/workspace-map.asp. Workspaces are identified by color coded pinpoints that allow users to zoom into a street-level view, click for amenity details and images, then book and pay for them using the OpenDesks online reservation system. The colorcoding enables users to identify and sort spaces according to 6 types: Shared Workspace, Coworking Sites, Serviced Offices, Business Centers, Incubators and Conference Centers. Most locations can be booked for 2 hours, half day, or full day. Prices vary based on the type of space and the location, starting from around $35 per day.

"If you're looking for a collaborative workspace to meet creative people, that's very different than someone looking for a teched-out conference room in a highrise to meet with corporate customers. Our goal is to provide the smartest, simplest, and most useful experience for professional mobile workers," explained DiFonzo.

In June, OpenDesks rebranded and relaunched with new features including booking, billing, and user profiles. The company expects to announce additional features in early October.

With over 600 active spaces throughout the US and Canada, OpenDesks allows users to find, share, and manage places to meet and work. Its network includes coworking spaces, private offices, and conference/meeting rooms -- all of which are available for "drop-in", half day and full day booking. OpenDesks' mission is to be the most useful shared resource software for spaces to meet, work, and conduct business. For more information, visit http://www.opendesks.com.
