[September 12, 2011] NTT America and NTT do Brasil announce new Point of Presence in Sao Paulo Tweet Sep 12, 2011 (TELECOMWORLDWIRE via COMTEX) -- NTT Communications Corporation (NTT Com), a Japanese provider of global networks, management solutions and IT services, announced on Monday that its subsidiaries NTT America and NTT do Brasil have jointly expanded the reach of NTT Com's Tier 1 Global IP Network into South America with a new Point of Presence (PoP) location in Sao Paulo, Brazil. According to NTT Com the new global IP network PoP allows the company to better enable Latin American service providers and content networks to gain access to its high-capacity, reliable and efficient network. The new Sao Paulo-based PoP will enable the growth of the local market, as well as helping global players to effectively and efficiently connect to Latin American infrastructure. The joint investment by NTT America and NTT do Brasil in the new global IP network PoP follows several years of working closely with Latin American companies to identify how best to help them meet broadband growth demands.
