Pelco and Feeling Software Partner to Offer New 3-D Camera Design Tool that Aids in Optimizing Camera Placement and Coverage

(M2 PressWIRE Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Clovis, CA and Montreal, Quebec, Canada -- Pelco by Schneider Electric and Feeling Software, Inc. have entered into a strategic agreement to make three dimensional facility design and management of video surveillance systems a reality. Through the agreement, Pelco will distribute and support a custom version of Feeling Softwares innovative Omnipresence 3D Pro Design software package to its network of partners around the world.

The Pelco 3D Camera Design Tool will allow systems integrators, engineers, and architects to rapidly and simply generate three-dimensional representations of a property from two-dimensional AutoCAD drawings. Once a three-dimensional model has been built, the Pelco 3D Camera Design tool will then allow users to experiment with optimal camera, lens, and placement choices to provide the desired coverage.

In todays global economic environment, improving the efficiency in every facet of a business is key to survival and growth, says John Minasyan, Director of Video Management Products at Pelco by Schneider Electric. By building upon the impressive foundation of the Omnipresence 3D Pro Design software marketed by Feeling Software, Pelcos 3D Camera Design Tool seeks to make our channel partners that much more efficient in camera selection and placement planning. Whats more, built-in pixels on object calculators and camera preview options allow system designers and integrators to optimize the cost of a new installation by selecting the appropriate combination of camera, lens, and placement to effect the best coverage possible for the client. We are thrilled to be partnering with a technology innovator like Feeling Software to deliver this capability to the market.

Were excited to partner with a market leader like Pelco to bring our innovative 3D security technology to a wider audience. As a company, this is a big step along our path to make security systems more intuitive and integrated than they are today, says Joshua Koopferstock, VP of Product Strategy at Feeling Software.

The Pelco 3D Camera Design Tool will be demonstrated in the Schneider Electric booth (#547) at the ASIS 2011 show in Orlando, Florida, from September 19 through September 21. Pelco expects to release the tool to the market in the first quarter of 2012.
