South Pacific mobile operator selects Procera Networks's PacketLogicSep 07, 2011 (Datamonitor via COMTEX) -- Procera Networks, Inc. has announced that an existing mobile operator customer in a South Pacific nation has chosen PacketLogic solutions to be the core of its new satellite bandwidth service to a new national wholesale-only, open access high-speed broadband network. The mobile operator will be using both real-time enforcement and intelligence center hardware and software platforms to deliver satellite connectivity to account for coverage gaps in a national broadband network, the company said. According to the company, the PacketLogic family of intelligent policy enforcement solutions offers network operators the true real-time visibility needed to actively monitor their network 24x7. With a combined hardware and software solution that scales under real network conditions and avoids the congestion points experienced by competing solutions, Procera has provided this customer with a rule sets to handle service plans for both their ISP's and end customers. "Throughout Asia-Pacific, network operators have seen the difficulties faced by their counterparts in other regions of the world and recognize the crucial nature of network intelligence," said Ben Teh, VP Asia Pacific and Japan for Procera Networks. "This is the latest Tier-1 operator to place a follow on order with Procera, choosing PacketLogic solution over less robust and inflexible offerings from competitors. "Procera's PacketLogic solution performs at full load according to specifications and delivers real-time visibility down to hub, ISP, host, user and protocol, making troubleshooting extremely easy," said Mr Teh. http://www.datamonitor.com Republication or redistribution, including by framing or similar means, is expressly prohibited without prior written consent.
