70% of French firms are targets of cyber attacks last 12 monthsSep 05, 2011 (CORPORATE IT UPDATE via COMTEX) -- 5 September 2011 - Seventy percent of French companies have suffered cyber attacks in the last 12 months, versus 74% in 2010, Laurent Heslault, strategy director of antivirus programmes maker Symantec France, said. Not every cyber attack leads to loss of information. One out of ten French companies said it had not suffered losses despite cyber attacks. On a global level, the combined cost of cyber attacks came in at USD100bn (EUR70.8bn) in 2010, the director general of Checkpoint Software, David Darmon, said.
