BRIEF: Fights force lockdown at SouthwestSep 02, 2011 (The Kansas City Star - McClatchy-Tribune Information Services via COMTEX) -- Kansas City police arrested four students at Southwest Early College Campus today for disorderly conduct after several fights broke out inside the building. Police were called to the school at 6512 Wornall Road about 11:50 a.m. Police determined two students started a fight, and then four additional fights broke out. The school resource officer, school security guards and police officers stopped the disturbances. School officials put the building on lockdown at 11:58 a.m., but removed the restriction about 40 minutes later.
