BRIEF: Police: Employee pistol-whipped during afternoon robbery at store; PS3 takenSep 02, 2011 (The Morning Call - McClatchy-Tribune Information Services via COMTEX) -- An employee at a convenience store behind the Hotel Traylor in Allentown was pistol-whipped during an afternoon robbery Friday, police said. The employee suffered a laceration to his head, according to police at the scene. . Police said two men entered the mini mart located behind the Hotel Traylor, 1444 Hamilton St., around 1 p.m. One of the men was armed with a gun and the other with a knife. During the robbery, the employee was struck on the head with the gun, police said and the robbers took an undetermined amount of money and also a Playstation 3 video game console. The suspects are described as black males, both 5-foot-6, 19 years old and wearing sunglasses. The robber with a gun was wearing a camouflage jacket, dark jeans and black and white sneakers.
