Police: 3 robbers invade woman's Fort Mill homeFORT MILL, Aug 23, 2011 (The Herald - McClatchy-Tribune Information Services via COMTEX) -- Armed men forced their way inside a Fort Mill woman's house and stole money and her daughter's Tinkerbell book bag, police say. The victim, 29, said she heard a knock at the door of her Forest Ridge residence around 9:30 p.m. Monday, according to a Fort Mill police report. The man at the door said he was a cousin of someone she knew. Then, the man and two others forced their way inside her apartment. Two of them were armed with guns. One of the men held a gun to her head and forced her to kneel at the foot of the stairs. They yelled "where is the money?" At gunpoint, the woman was forced into her bedroom. The men searched her belongings and found $250 in a bedroom drawer, the report states. They also stole two cell phones, a handheld video game system and a book bag the victim's daughter takes to school. The men dumped out the contents on the floor before stealing the Tinkerbell bag. The woman stayed in her room until the men left the house. They apparently rummaged through the kitchen and other areas before fleeing. She was not reported injured, and her children were not home at the time of the home invasion. The woman told police she didn't recognize the any of the men. She was able to provide vague descriptions, mostly just of clothing. A K-9 unit tracked the suspects' scent, but police were unable to immediately locate the suspects. ___ (c)2011 The Herald (Rock Hill, S.C.)
