TORCH Management Services Endorses nTelagent
NASHVILLE, Tenn. --(Business Wire)--
The Texas
Organization of Rural and Community Hospital Management Services, Inc.
(TMSI) has endorsed nTelagent,
Inc. as a preferred provider of revenue cycle management. This
endorsement allows TORCH facilities special pricing to access
nTelagent's total point-of-service solution.
With its Retail
Application for Healthcare, nTelagent gives TORCH hospital members
the tools and technology to better and more consistently handle all
patient accounts - insured, uninsured and those qualifying for financial
assistance - pre-registration and at point of service.
Similar to applications used in the retail industry at the point of
sale, nTelagent's web-based, automated Retail Application guides patient
access staff through each patient encounter via real-time, customized
scripts.
In minutes, patient access staff using nTelagent validate patient
address, verify insurance, perform medical necessity sceening,
determine estimated total and approved charges, and follow online
scripts for discounts, payment terms and patient collections - all at
point of service.
"To continue providing top-notch care, our rural and community hospitals
must be financially healthy themselves. nTelagent will help them toward
that goal," said Vicki A. Pascasio, FACHE, TMSI CEO.
nTelagent's solution for managing accounts receivable will result in
TORCH members being able to increase cash, upfront and overall; decrease
bad debt and AR days; reduce denials, returned mail and collection fees;
identify capacity to pay and financial assistance; set up payment terms
for increased ongoing collections; and improve registrar workflow and
patient satisfaction.
"It's critical that providers and patients have appropriate resources to
adjust to healthcare's 'retail-like' revenue cycle, where increasing
financial responsibility continues to be placed on patients. We're
honored to partner with TORCH members to help all parties navigate this
complex system," said Earl Winter, nTelagent CEO.
Introductions and site assessments will begin soon to further introduce
TORCH member hospitals to nTelagent's suite of services and solutions.
