Respected Labor & Employment Litigator Rejoins Fulbright as Senior Counsel

A labor & employment litigator who is widely respected for her extensive trial experience and advice representing a range of employers has rejoined Fulbright & Jaworski L.L.P. as Senior Counsel. Teri L. Danish previously spent six years at the international firm as an associate in the 1990s.

Danish will work from Fulbright's Houston office. She rejoins Fulbright from Colvin, Chaney, Saenz & Rodriguez, L.L.P., where she has been practicing since 1999. Danish has handled labor and employment matters at trial and before administrative agencies, provided training and counseling for her clients on labor and employment issues, engaged in collective bargaining negotiations, advised clients in organizing campaigns and defended clients in labor arbitration.

"She has long been widely respected among her peers and within the business community and tried numerous cases to verdict on behalf of clients in one of the most litigious venues in the country. Her experience will add strength to our well-rounded and capable team."

In recent years, Danish has practiced in South Texas, where she represented clients in civil litigation and hanled all aspects of employment and labor issues, including trial of employment discrimination claims, labor contract negotiation and arbitration and organizing campaigns. She previously served as Senior Labor Counsel and Associate Director of Human Resources at Cooper Industries, where she managed the employment litigation for the company, as well as negotiated collective bargaining agreements, and represented the company in grievance proceedings and labor arbitration. She also worked in-house briefly at Chevron (News - Alert).

Coming back to Fulbright offers an opportunity to further expand her work and reestablish contacts in Houston, Danish said.

"Rejoining the firm that was so integral in my development as a trial lawyer is like coming home," she said. "I'm very happy to be back working alongside such a talented, effective and compassionate team of labor and employment lawyers. It's great to be back."

Danish received her J.D. from the University of San Diego School of Law in 1990 and her undergraduate degree from Texas A&M University in 1984. She is licensed to practice law in the state of Texas, and is Board Certified in Labor and Employment Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization.
