Communication Intelligence Q2 net loss down 17%

Aug 19, 2011 (Datamonitor via COMTEX) -- Communication Intelligence Corporation has reported a net loss attributable to common stockholders of $1.36 million, for the second quarter ended June 30, 2011, a decrease of 17%, compared to a net loss attributable to common stockholders of $1.63 million, for the second quarter ended June 30, 2010.

Total revenue for the second quarter of 2011 was $326,000, an increase of 53%, compared to $213,000 for the same quarter of 2010.

Net loss attributable to common stockholders for the first half of 2011 was $3.77 million, a decrease of 14%, compared to a net loss attributable to common stockholders of $3.31 million for the first half of 2010. Total revenue for the first half of 2011 was $604,000, an increase of 44%, compared to $419,000 for the same period of 2010.

"We are pleased that our remedial actions continue to show modest signs of improvement," stated Philip Sassower, CIC's Chairman and CEO. "In addition to achieving our third consecutive quarter of revenue growth, CIC's product revenues for the first six months of 2011 were approximately 56% greater than product revenues for all of 2010.

"During the quarter, we also closed the first sale of our iSign Mobility Suite, which was another step in the direction of a recurring revenue model. While the growth in sales remains relatively small, we view these achievements as confirmation that CIC is on the right track and will continue our efforts to grow both our direct and channel sales and to improve and expand our technology with a view to making it available to an increasing number of clients." http://www.datamonitor.com Republication or redistribution, including by framing or similar means, is expressly prohibited without prior written consent.
