Continental implements LightPointe's AireBeam Z60 systemAug 17, 2011 (TELECOMWORLDWIRE via COMTEX) -- Outdoor wireless connectivity provider LightPointe Communications Inc announced on Wednesday the installation of its AireBeam Z60 system for automotive parts supplier Continental. Professional planning and installation of the system was performed by EDV-Beratung Schatz, a LightPointe partner. No financial details were disclosed. According to the company, the AireBeam Z60 point-to-point bridge operates in the licence-free 59-63GHz frequency range, which is widely available in the DACH region of Germany and many other countries. The solution features flexible LAN networking interfaces and an integrated web browser and is easily integrated into an SNMP management environment.
