IN THE NEWS: TRANSIT PHONE JAMMING SAN FRANCISCO (AP) _ San Francisco Bay area transit officials are battling hackers. Officials of BART -- Bay Area Rapid Transit -- want to shut down a website by an anonymous hacker's group. The group has posted the names of thousands of people who are email subscribers of a legitimate BART website. The Mercury News (http://bit.ly/n9Hj9m ) reports that the site, run by an external vendor, contains more than 50,000 names. IN STORES NOW: ACER LIVING-ROOM PC NEW YORK (AP) _ Acer wants to bring the PC into the living room. The Revo RL100 is designed from the ground up to fit into an entertainment centre. It's smaller than most DVD players and very quiet. The most striking thing about the design is a thin, postcard-sized black slate that pops out of the front of the unit. It's a wireless touchpad that turns, at the touch of a button, into an illuminated wireless keyboard. The Acer Revo sells $470 with a DVD drive. A hundred bucks more gets a Blu-ray drive.
