BRIEF: Former Millcreek water chief Riedesel helping as unpaid consultantAug 12, 2011 (Erie Times-News - McClatchy-Tribune Information Services via COMTEX) -- George Riedesel retired July 11 as executive director of the Millcreek Township water and sewer authorities. But Riedesel's name is listed as a consultant in the new township directory put out this summer. David Sterrett, who replaced Riedesel as executive director on July 18, explained that Riedesel is voluntarily helping him in the transition and is not being paid. Riedesel's tenure included clashes over competing plans with Erie Water Works to equalize water rates for all Millcreek residents. The Millcreek Water Authority equalized the rates for its customers this year. See Saturday's Erie Times-News and GoErie.com for more coverage.
