Both the companies are based in China. Chip design division of Hangzhou Motorola Technology is engaged in designing, researching and developing SoC decoder chip for back part of digital TV set-top box. As part of the transaction, Montage Technology has got all its technological authorization of chip HM1521B/D. After the acquisition, Hangzhou Motorola Technology will keep the right of ownership of chip HM1521B/D, and will continue providing the associative software and hardware solutions for set-top boxes.
