The Peggy Smedley Show to Feature First Responders

CAROL STREAM, Ill. --(Business Wire)--

Who is your first line of defense and what are they doing to provide the best service possible?

Beginning Tuesday, August 16, The Peggy Smedley Show is launching a series of radio interviews featuring first responders that use M2M technology and connected devices to better serve the public.

Whether there is a power outage at your home or business, a car accident, a crime, or a medical emergency, society turns to first responders for help. In turn, first responders are increasingly turning to M2M (machine-to-machine) technology to empower the solutions that keep them at the front lines of all types of critical situations.

Because realtime communication can mean the difference between getting there in time, and getting there too late, connected devices and solutions are being adopted by agencies and companies that want to serve the public in the highest capacity possible.

The Peggy Smedley Show's first interview will be with Antonio Ransom, founder, Aridhio Technologies and Doug Higgs, owner, Florida Fire Service. Discussio will focus on Aridhio Technology's solution, automating the process of performing fire-protection services and installations.

This series will illustrate how several different types of first responders are upping the ante by applying M2M technology. Each 30-minute interview will highlight a first responder and the M2M technology partner that empowers its potentially life-saving solution. Guests will include fire, police, and ambulance professionals, among others. The series will lead to a article in the Jan/Feb issue of Connected World magazine.

"Connected devices can help consumers get from point A to point B. The same technology applied to a public-service solution can help an ambulance find an injured person, or help a fire truck find a fire," says Peggy Smedley, editorial director of Connected World magazine, and host of The Peggy Smedley Show. "M2M technology applied in life-critical situations is an increasingly important arm of the industry; it helps all types of first responders communicate, navigate, and most of all, respond more efficiently to the situation at hand."

The Peggy Smedley Show is broadcast every Tuesday at 12:00 p.m. CT.
