BRIEF: Zimbabwe stock exchange says website hackedHARARE, Aug 05, 2011 (dpa - McClatchy-Tribune Information Services via COMTEX) -- Hackers have been using the Zimbabwe Stock Exchange website to conduct internet scams, forcing the bourse to take it offline, an official said on Friday. ZSE chief Emmanuel Munyukwi said the site had been hacked twice this week for use as a "phishing site," in order to con people into giving sensitive information to fraudsters. "Experts are now trying to get to the bottom of the problem and hopefully they will identify the source (of the hack) by end of day," said Munyukwi. The bourse lists 79 companies, and its website is used by investors to keep track of price movements and other information. The state-owned daily, The Herald, was hacked last year while the finance ministry briefly lost control over its web domain several months ago.
