BRIEF: CenturyLink acquires Qwest, begins rebranding [Tri-City Herald, Kennewick, Wash.]


(Tri-City Herald (Kennewick, WA) Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Aug. 05--RICHLAND -- CenturyLink, the third-largest telecommunications company in the United States, acquired Qwest Communications and is now entering into the next stage of rebranding in the Eastern Washington region.

Through to the end of this year, Qwest logos will be replaced with the CenturyLink logo. About 250 company vehicles will receive the new logo, along with buildings, retail stores and company employee uniforms.
