Jeremiah Grossman, Matt Johansen and Kyle Osborn of WhiteHat Security to Present at Black Hat ConferenceAug 01, 2011 (Close-Up Media via COMTEX) -- WhiteHat Security, a Web security company, announced that Jeremiah Grossman, chief technology officer of WhiteHat Security, and WhiteHat Security Threat Research Center members Matt Johansen and Kyle Osborne, will be presenting two briefing sessions at the Black Hat USA 2011 conference, Aug. 3-4, at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, Nevada. According to a release, Johansen and Osborne will discuss how Google Chrome OS' different operating profile -- where everything takes place in the cloud -- presents website and Web browser attackers the opportunity to thwart Chrome OS' security protections and expose all the user's data. They will provide a series of live demonstrations, showcasing their research on Chrome OS vulnerabilities and their possibilities. Grossman will be participating on a panel discussing the challenges of large-scale application security. The panel will focus on how to secure the countless lines of vulnerable code being written every day, discuss strategies for securing existing vulnerable applications that have been responsible for recent high-profile hacks, and keeping pace with evolving threats. Johansen and Osborn will present Wednesday, Aug. 3, 11:15 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. PDT at Caesars Palace, Las Vegas, Nevada. Conference Room: Augustus V and VI.
