[August 01, 2011] WISeKey Releases WISeSMS to Protect and Encrypt Mobile Phone Messaging Tweet Aug 01, 2011 (Close-Up Media via COMTEX) -- WISeKey announced it has launched WISeSMS iPhone and Android App for the delivery and receipt of encrypted text messages. WISeSMS encrypts any text and will work with the native delivery platforms on a mobile device to send sensitive and private communications. The application release is accompanied by the launch of the WISeSMS website, which provides the same text encrypting service online. Standard messages are delivered as plain text and are always vulnerable to the threat of interception. Using WISeSMS, the text of a message is encrypted and cannot be read without the key to decode the text. We know that interception exists: as the news of widespread mobile phone hacking continues to make headlines, WISeSMS is one additional measure of communication security that can be used. WISeSMS is simple to use and safe. WISeSMS uses the phone's native messaging service, but provides a simple mechanism to encrypt the message before it touches the message platform. Encrypted messages can also be received through the standard messaging service, and then easily copied into and decoded by WISeSMS. The encrypted text is not limited to messaging; it can be used in any communications service, including email or chat, Twitter or Facebook.
