ComponentOne Rolls Out LightSwitch Extension Offering Instant Business IntelligenceAug 01, 2011 (Close-Up Media via COMTEX) -- ComponentOne, a component vendor in the Microsoft Visual Studio Industry Partner program, announced the release of ComponentOne OLAP for LightSwitch, an OLAP screen for Microsoft LightSwitch. The Company said Microsoft Visual Studio LightSwitch is the latest addition to the Visual Studio family and offers its users a way to create business applications for the desktop and the cloud without code. ComponentOne OLAP for LightSwitch provides custom controls and screen templates for displaying interactive pivot tables, charts, and reports. OLAP tools provide analytical processing features similar to those found in Microsoft Excel Pivot tables and charts. According to a release, the Microsoft LightSwitch team created a video demonstrating the OLAP for LightSwitch product which is available for viewing on the company product page.
