Hurlingham Hit 2 Past Afya Sacco in Left Foot League


Jul 27, 2011 (Nairobi Star/All Africa Global Media via COMTEX) -- HURLINGHAM beat Afya Sacco 2-0 in the Left Foot League Division Two at Highrise Secondary ground. The victors were in good shape and looked the better side in the opening stages of the match. Emmanuel Agengo struck the opening goal for Hurlingham in the 12th minute before Valentine Musera added the second at the stroke of half-time.

In another match, Mohammed Muigai FC were held to a 1-1 all draw by Rapid Communications. Muigai had gone ahead in the 35th minute but Rapids hit back in the 79th minute via Naftali Ogot. In other matches in the category Memon Community succumbed 1-0 to Outlaws, Astral Aviation "B" fell 0-2 to Sunfit Gangsters, Kenya Airways Cargo edged out Bethel 1-0, Madaraka Utd beat Astral Aviation A 2-0 while Langat'a Sportive ran away win 2-0 win against Railway Wanderers.

In Division One, bottom-placed Mtandao (MTN Business Ltd) came from a goal down to beat Petra Boys 2-1. Mtandao scored through Chris Gechoi (43rd minute) and Dick Otieno (59th minute). Elsewhere, Sky train lost ground in their bid to close in on the top two after managing a 1-1 draw with Vision 2020 while NBK secured a slim 1-0 win over NPC Parklands.


In Division 3, Strategic Industries registered mixed results. Strategic, who eventual sealed a place in the Champions League round, lost 0-2 to Young Boys before recovering to beat Zuchinni Green Grocers 3-2. On the other hand, Young Boys enjoyed the weekend with identical 2-0 wins against Strategic and Ravers to grab the last spot in the Champions league round.
