LogMeIn announces new patch management capabilities

Jul 26, 2011 (TELECOMWORLDWIRE via COMTEX) -- Remote access, support and collaboration solutions provider LogMeIn Inc (Nasdaq:LOGM) announced on Monday new patch management capabilities to its remote access and management product lines, LogMeIn Pro and LogMeIn Central.

According to the company, the new capabilities allow users to identify, select and apply one or more available updates and install those updates over the Internet.

The new Windows patch management features are designed to allow IT professionals and other users: support Windows 7, Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows Server 2003, and Windows Server 2008 updates; schedule and manage updates to off-LAN computers using LogMeIn's cloud-based connectivity platform; simultaneously manage Windows Updates on multiple computers; automatically push updates to multiple systems at the same time; select which Microsoft updates to apply; and work with Windows Update or Windows Server Update Services (WSUS).

LogMeIn Central is priced at USD299 per year, supporting an unlimited number of users and instances of LogMeIn Pro. LogMeIn Pro is priced at USD69 per year. The new capabilities are available as a free update to existing LogMeIn Central and LogMeInPro customers.
