Claims target James MurdochJul 24, 2011 (The Australian Financial Review - ABIX via COMTEX) -- James Murdoch, chairman of News Corporation's British newspaper division, has been accused of lying to the parliamentary committee examining the phone hacking scandal at the "News of the World" newspaper. Colin Myler, the former editor of the now defunct tabloid, and Tom Crone, the former head of legal affairs for the newspaper, claimed that Murdoch was not telling the truth when he stated that he was not aware of an email containing transcripts of hacked voicemails when the company agreed to settle a case involving Gordon Taylor, CEO of the Professional Footballers Association.
