[July 18, 2011] BRIEF: Ferndale police looking for armed robber who hit clerk at 7-Eleven store Tweet Jul 18, 2011 (Detroit Free Press - McClatchy-Tribune Information Services via COMTEX) -- Police are looking for a man who hit a clerk with a gun during an armed robbery at a Ferndale 7-Eleven store early this morning. The robber entered the store around 12:30 a.m. at 1040 W. 9 Mile and hit the clerk with a gun when she tried to run, Det. Lt. William Wilson said. He also stole the purse of a woman customer and threatened her at gunpoint, police said. Video of the incident may be released.
