Houston CPA Society to Study Energy Industry Accounting, FinanceHOUSTON --(Business Wire)-- The Houston CPA Society, a chapter of the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants, will examine accounting and finance issues facing the oil and gas industry at its Energy Seminar, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Aug. 30, 2011, at the J.W. Marriott Hotel, 5150 Westheimer. Andrew Roberts, executive vice president-finance, Shell Trading, is the luncheon keynote speaker on "The World Energy Outlook." Larry Dickerson, president and chief executive officer of Diamond Offshore Drilling, a CPA and a former president of the International Association of Drilling Contractors and leader on numerous government and industry commissions, will offer his assessment on the state of the offshore drilling industry. Chuck Yates, senior managing director of Kayne Anderson Capital Advisors, will cover domestic oil and gas, and Dave Sharp (News - Alert), president of DSP Resources and Floridian Natural Gas Storage Company, will describe midstream and storage outlooks.
