Edge Asset Management Announces New Head of Fixed Income

Edge Asset Management (Edge) in Seattle, Wash., announces Greg Tornga has joined the firm as the head of fixed income and a portfolio manager. Edge is an affiliate of Principal Global Investors and member company of the Principal Financial Group^®.

Tornga, with 15 years of experience, will lead the firm's fixed income team. He joins Edge during a great period of growth, with assets under management (AUM) increasing 47 percent since June 2009 - to $20.6 billion as of June 30, 2011. Tornga's responsibilities include overseeing $5.2 billion in core plus and investment-grade fixed income AUM.

Tornga comes to Edge from Payden & Rygel Investment Management in Los Angeles, where he was senior vice president - head of investment grade credit. He is a CFA charter holder and earned his MBA from the Argyros School of Business at Chapman University.
