BRIEF: Oklahoma Hall of Fame induction ceremony scheduledNORMAN, Jul 15, 2011 (The Norman Transcript - McClatchy-Tribune Information Services via COMTEX) -- University of Oklahoma President David L. Boren has been selected by 2011 Oklahoma Hall of Fame class member Harold Hamm to serve as his presenter. Boren is a 1988 inductee to the Hall. The banquet and induction ceremony will be Nov. 17, according to a news release from Erin E. Page, director of communications and marketing for the Oklahoma Heritage Association Gaylord-Pickens Oklahoma Heritage Museum. Hamm's fellow 2011 Oklahoma Hall of Fame classmates are Tommy Franks, Wynnewood; Marques Haynes, Sand Springs; Cathy Keating, Tulsa; Steve Malcolm, Tulsa; and Elizabeth Warren, Oklahoma City. Roger Miller, of Erick, will be inducted posthumously. Each of the other inductees has also selected a family member, friend or colleague to formally present them at the Nov. 17 Hall of Fame banquet and induction ceremony. Alison Anthony, of Tulsa, will present Malcolm; Clayton I. Bennett, of Oklahoma City, will present Franks; Sam Donaldson, of McLean, Va., will present Keating; T. Boone Pickens, of Dallas, Texas, will present Warren; and Bill Russell, of Mercer Island, Wash., will present Haynes. Miller's wife, Mary, will accept a medallion on his behalf.
