[July 15, 2011] Fox CT Weather: Sunny And Pleasant Today With Highs Near 80 Tweet Jul 14, 2011 (WTIC-TV - McClatchy-Tribune Information Services via COMTEX) -- Yesterday the high temperature reached 89 degrees with moderate levels of humidity making for a typical warm summer day in Connecticut. Then during the late afternoon and evening hours, the clouds came rolling in from the northwest, the wind picked up and some showers and thunderstorms developed ahead of a cold front that approached the region. This high will deliver a cool dry northwest flow keeping our weather comfortable through Saturday. Sunday, the high will move off the New England Coast and begin to deliver a warmer more humid air mass into the region with a southwest flow on the backside of the high. This warm humid air mass will stick around into early next week before another cold front approaches the region late on Monday or Tuesday with the next chance for rain.
