LA Fitness Launches Redesigned Website

Jul 15, 2011 (Close-Up Media via COMTEX) -- LA Fitness announced the launch of its newly designed website, introducing new content and a number of new features, including enhanced interactive capabilities.

"We evaluated the LA Fitness website in its entirety and set out to redesign it in a way that was interactive and engaging, yet still functional for our current members. We incorporated new features that we hope will captivate our visitors in a way that they haven't been before, by incorporating videos, bold colors and images that provide them a taste of what they'll experience in our facilities. We're excited about the redesign and we think our members and visitors will be pleased as well," said Louis Welch, CEO of LA Fitness, in a release.

The website's homepage welcomes visitors with new images and user activated movement that feature the many workout choices and amenities LA Fitness has to offer. Users can access other essential content directly from the main page without having to navigate through multiple dropdown menus.

The site allows members to designate a Home Club page, which will allow them on each return visit to view updated information about their home club, including operating hours, available amenities, class schedules, and names of key club staff.

The integration of social networking (Facebook and Twitter) has been added to encourage members to share their club experiences online.

Users can preview group fitness classes via brief video segments. Individual class descriptions are also available.

An About LA Fitness page, featuring Microsoft Silverlight and Bing Map technologies, provides a brief animated overview of the company's history and growth.

Features from the previous website, which provide users with a virtual tour of a typical club and allow members to manage their accounts and book personal training appointments online, are also a part of the new site.

LA Fitness is a sports club chain.
