Triangle Business Journal Names SciQuest's Rudy Howard CFO of the Year

SciQuest, Inc., (NASDAQ: SQI) a leading provider of on-demand strategic procurement and supplier management solutions, today announced that its CFO Rudy Howard has been awarded CFO of the Year by the Triangle Business Journal. Howard received the award at a luncheon on Thursday at the Raleigh Marriott City Center.

The Triangle Business Journal's CFO awards program recognizes outstanding financial professionals for their fiscal stewardship and their community service record during the past 12 months. Howard achieved recognition in the large public company category.

Howard is responsible for SciQuest's financial strategy and fiscal management. In the past year, he played a key role in the company's successful IPO, which raised $57 million, the acquisition of AECsoft, a market-leading supplier management and sourcing company, and SciQuest's successful secondary offering. He was instrumental in setting up a charitable trust, which will be administered by the SciQuest Charity Committee. Since joining SciQuest, Howard assumed a leadership role in the ongoing management of the business and works closely on a daily basis with sales and operations.
