Avtex Becomes Part of a Group of Microsoft Tellme Partners

Jul 14, 2011 (Close-Up Media via COMTEX) -- Avtex, a provider of integrated, interaction solutions, announced its plans to sell and implement the Microsoft Tellme Integrated Voice Response (IVR) service.

According to a release, in response to a market shift toward on-demand contact center and enterprise communication applications, Avtex will add cloud-based speech self-service IVR from Microsoft Tellme to its solution portfolio. By combining Internet data with a speech interface, the Microsoft Tellme IVR Service improves task completion and customer service performance for businesses in over 2 billion calls each year.

"Today, the customer is in the driver's seat," said Bob Denman, President of Avtex. "They decide when and how to communicate and they expect an immediate response. Driven to meet a higher customer experience standard, organizations are facing a surge of both opportunity and risk. They recognize that technology trends like voice, mobile, social and cloud are not only enablers, they are game-changers." Avtex will offer the Microsoft Tellme IVR service stand-alone or integrated with other communication and collaboration technology solutions such as contact center, CRM, unified communications, infrastructure, notification and application development.

"As we continue to grow our business, we see a significant opportunity for growth around the integration of speech into the contact center and into other applications," said Denman. "As the customer experience becomes a higher priority, we will continue to explore and develop innovative and efficient ways for organizations to interact with their end customers, both in the contact center and across the entire enterprise." "We see huge potential for the Microsoft Tellme platform," said Rachey. "Speech technology will play an important role in the next generation of communications. As we move toward more natural forms of communication like speech, touch and gesture-based technology, the Avtex innovation team is committed to finding ways to leverage the cloud for improved customer interactions."
