Jul 11, 2011 (Close-Up Media via COMTEX) -- Winncom Technologies, a distributor of wireless broadband networking equipment and accessories, announced that one of its partners, Wavion Wireless Networks, has released the WBSn, a Wi-Fi system to deliver Gigabit capacity and outdoor speeds of 450 Mbps.

"We are pleased to be able to offer our customers a cost-effective 3G/4G cellular offloading solution with Wavion's WBSn outdoor Wi-Fi system," said Bernie Vaysenberg, Director of Sales, Winncom, in a release.

"The addition of this product family will help us to expand our reach into the carrier, municipalities, and enterprise markets by addressing the capacity issues associated with the growing demand for mobile broadband services. The timing for this Wavion technology couldn't be better." "Wavion has been focused for more than a decade on developing and delivering superior carrier grade Wi-Fi systems and has numerous large scale Wi-Fi deployments with 1st tier carriers and ISPs in more than 70 countries around the globe," said Zeev Farkash, Wavion's EVP for Sales. "This extensive experience, unique technology and outstanding technical innovation made the WBSn development possible. For mobile operators that need Wi-Fi to complement their offering and compete effectively, there is no better solution on the market today." The WBSn product family was designed specifically for mobile operators that need to offload mobile data traffic from their congested networks, and for service providers that target challenging metro and campus environments.
