Hacker Group Claimed Accessed User Accounts From Apple (AAPL)Jul 06, 2011 (SmarTrend(R) News Watch via COMTEX) -- AntiSec, a hacking group announced over the weekend that they obtained user names and passwords of an Apple Inc. (NASDAQ: AAPL) server. The group displayed materials of 27 user accounts and passwords on the website PasteBin and stated its discovery July 3 on Twitter. Sony Corp. (NYSE: SNE), EBay Inc. (NASDAQ:EBAY) along with government agencies ranging from the Central Intelligence Agency to Arizona Department of Public Safety have been focusing on hacker groups in recent months. Apple has more than 200 million registered iTunes accounts, there's no confirmation of evidence that customer user names and passwords were harmed or if the post was a prank. AntiSec tweeted that its "not being so serious." Steve Dowling, a spokesman for Apple, declined to comment. Apple has a potential upside of 30.9% based on a current price of $349.43 and an average consensus analyst price target of $457.24. Apple is currently above its 50-day moving average (MA) of $338.09 and above its 200-day of $329.58.
