Sypris Electronics opens new cyber collaboration centerJul 04, 2011 (Datamonitor via COMTEX) -- Sypris Electronics, LLC, a subsidiary of Sypris Solutions, Inc. has opened its new cyber collaboration center within its Tampa, Florida headquarters. The Sypris Cyber Collaboration Center functions as a laboratory for cyber security R&D in cyber offense, defense, neutralization and resiliency. The Cyber Collaboration Center serves as a training ground and test-bed for Sypris' security engineers who are developing best practices in ethical hacking and defense tactics. Specific areas of focus include: data analytics and intrusion detection, trusted systems and computing security, mobile phone and cloud computing, application security assessment, as well as vulnerability testing and information assurance tools development. In addition, Sypris is opening the Cyber Collaboration Center to its industry, university and community partners for cooperative research opportunities as they relate to next generation cyber security, from initial system assessment through closed loop monitoring and resiliency. The Cyber Collaboration Center will also serve as a cyber range tool for national and international customers, allowing for modeling, simulation and analysis of networks to protect against current and future vulnerabilities.
