SUZUKI - All-new V-Strom 650A Launched to Press(ENP Newswire Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) ENP Newswire - 04 July 2011 Release date- 30062011 - UK press had their first taste of the all-new V-Strom 650A today, as the worldwide press test in Split, Croatia, welcomed representatives from Motorcycle News, Bike, Ride, Motorcycle Sport & Leisure, Motorcycle Monthly and the Daily Telegraph. With the new model boasting significant updates, such as an all-new engine offering enhanced low-mid range torque and increased power, a significant 6KG overall weight reduction, and new styling that aides rider comfort in the process, early press reaction was very positive. With press brought up to speed on the technical highlights in the launch model presentation last night, the stunning countryside around the Coastal city of Split in Croatia offered the perfect opportunity to sample Suzuki's new middleweight adventure bike. Motorcycle News Road Test Editor, Phil West was first to give feedback, 'The new V-Stom 650 is an improvement over it's predecessor. With the new engine it packs more punch and feels much smoother. The new riding position is very neautral, offering nice feedback and it certainly looks the part now too.' With press completing a full day of riding, the V-Strom was tested in all manner of conditions, from fast sweeping A-Roads to scenic country tracks as well as city riding too. Kevin Ash from www.ashonbikes.com and the Daily Telegraph added: 'It's fair to say that for many of us the old V-Strom was a favourite, because it did so well at everything. This new model simply brings that concept up to date again, with the bike continuing the honest, non-nonsense approach to everyday riding. The engines much nicer, the riding position is good and at GBP6,899 on the road it's great value too. ThIs new model should carry the V-Strom name forward confidently into the ranges second decade.' With bikes due to arrive in dealers from August, customers should contact their local authorised dealer or click here for more information.
