BRIEF: Azerbaijani Academy of Sciences to create AzScienceNet user identity baseJun 30, 2011 (Trend News Agency - McClatchy-Tribune Information Services via COMTEX) -- The Azerbaijani National Academy of Sciences' Information Technology Institute (ITI) plans to create a user identity base within the AzScienceNet scientific network. The institute intends to use the experience of the Trans-European Research and Education Networking Association. Creating an identity base will enable use of a single password and login, use of set of services that will be available based on AzScienceNet in the future. The scientific computer network will be able to connect to the TERENA network infrastructure. One of the services that will be available later this year will be education roaming. It has been already deployed in test mode based on AzScienceNet. Documents concerning the Eduroam service deployment have been submitted to TERENA for consideration. After their approval the system will be put into trial operation. In the future, service will be available in all subdivisions of the Azerbaijani Academy of Sciences in Baku and regions. Eduroam will allow employees of scientific institutions and the education system to get free access to the Internet when traveling and being on business trips. Do you have any feedback?
