BRIEF: Four Legends players suspended after brawl (watch video)Jun 29, 2011 (The Lexington Herald-Leader - McClatchy-Tribune Information Services via COMTEX) -- The South Atlantic League suspended four Legends players Tuesday as a result of a bench-clearing brawl during Lexington's game with the West Virginia Power on Monday night in Charleston, W.Va. Outfielder Adam Bailey and pitcher Brian Streilein will serve three-day suspensions through Thursday. Pitcher Jorge DeLeon and infielder Jhonny Medrano will serve three-day suspensions beginning Saturday. West Virginia catcher Elias Diaz, infielders Andy Vasquez and Drew Maggi pitcher Brooks Pounders were also suspended. WCHS-TV in Charleston posted a video of the fight you can watch here. The altercation began when Bailey, attempting to score from second base on a single by Mike Kvasnicka in the eighth inning, collided with Diaz, who made the tag at home plate. The two exchanged words, and the confrontation escalated from there. West Virginia won the game 2-1 in 10 innings.
