[July 01, 2011] Honda Motor Reports June Sales Fell 24.3% in the U.S. (HMC) Tweet Jul 01, 2011 (SmarTrend(R) News Watch via COMTEX) -- Honda Motor Co (NYSE:HMC) reported June sales of 83,892 vehicles today, a 24.3% drop from June 2010. Year to date, sales have reached 607,442 units, an increase of 1.6% over 2010, based on the daily selling rate. The Civic was the company's top selling model for the month, selling 17,485 units, a decrease of 36.5% from last year. The Accord also saw a huge sales drop, down 38.6% in the month at 17,107 units. One bright spot was the Fit, with sales growing 20% to 4,912, demonstrating the continued strong demand for fuel-efficient vehicles. Honda Division sales were down 24.5%, while Acura division sales fell 22.8%.
