USCarrier Telecom Joins Telx Ethernet Exchange

Jun 30, 2011 (Close-Up Media via COMTEX) -- Telx, an interconnection and data center provider, announced that USCarrier Telecom has joined the Telx Ethernet Exchange.

"USCarrier selected the Telx Ethernet Exchange to leverage its one-to-many connectivity to better serve our customers in the Southeast," said Jack Roberts, Vice President of Sales for USCarrier, in a release.

"Becoming a member of this fast-growing community enables us to seamlessly interconnect to all carriers within Telx's data center in Atlanta, while other Telx Ethernet Exchange members now have additional options with direct access to our Ethernet exchange from this key location." The Telx Ethernet Exchange is a part of the Telx Interconnection Center. Included with the Telx Ethernet Exchange is the Telx Connect Portal, an e-commerce tool connecting publishers, subscribers, providers and consumers with buyers and sellers of network and application based services.

"The Telx Ethernet Exchange is a fast, cost-effective way for wholesale Ethernet providers like USCarrier to expand their service delivery model," said Glenn Calafati Vice President and General Manager of Interconnection Services at Telx.

"Not only does this partnership make it easier for carrier customers to connect to USCarrier's Ethernet platform in our Atlanta data center, but it gives our Global Marketplace of customers even more last-mile connectivity choices. We look forward to helping USCarrier continue to expand its market reach through the benefits of the Ethernet Exchange." USCarrier Telecom is a provider of high-capacity, high-speed telecommunications bandwidth.
