Andrew House Will Replace CEO Kazuo Hirai of Sony's Global Video Game Unit (SNE)Jun 29, 2011 (SmarTrend(R) News Watch via COMTEX) -- Sony Corp. (NYSE:SNE) announced Wednesday that Andrew House, will replace Kazuo Hirai as chief executive officer of global video game unit Sony Computer Entertainment Inc. as of Sept. 1, 2011. House currently heads the company's video game business in Europe. Sony's executive deputy president, Hirai and front-runner will ultimately replace Howard Stringer and will become chairman of Sony Computer Entertainment. The change underlines Hirai's increased responsibility within the entire Sony group, including the key task of changing the company's loss-making in the television division. Sony has a potential upside of 33% based on a current price of $25.53 and an average consensus analyst price target of $33.95. Sony is currently below its 50-day moving average (MA) of $27.12 and below its 200-day MA of $32.14. In the last five trading sessions, the 50-day MA has fallen 0.94% while the 200-day MA has slid 0.21%. Sony Corporation manufactures audio, home video game consoles, communications, key device and information technology products for the consumer and professional markets.
