NI Technology Reports Outlook Updates for Apple, Intel, ARM Holdings, Qualcomm and AkamaiJun 29, 2011 (Close-Up Media via COMTEX) -- Next Inning Technology Research, an online investment newsletter focused on semiconductor and technology stocks, has updated outlooks for Apple, Intel, ARM Holdings, Qualcomm and Akamai. Next Inning editor Paul McWilliams has leveraged a decades-long career as a semiconductor industry insider to deliver in-depth insights and winning stock selections for his newsletter subscribers. McWilliams' Next Inning model portfolio has posted huge gains, returning 306 percent since its inception in 2002, and he has been picking more potential big winners for 2011. The Company said McWilliams has been right on target this year with his predictions on the direction of the market. Immediately following the tragic earthquake in Japan, Next Inning published several special weekend updates predicting it would negatively impact global economic activity in the near-term, that supply shortages would emerge in Q2 and that electricity rationing would complicate Japan's recovery. All of these predictions have now materialized and, as a result, tech stock prices have declined. According to a release, McWilliams believes the recent decline in tech stock prices present opportunities for gains as we move into the July earnings season. To help Next Inning readers make better informed decisions as to what stocks to consider buying now, Next Inning published an updated report covering ten stocks McWilliams thinks will outperform the market as a whole. In addition to a special report updating McWilliams' top-10 picks for 2011, the Company noted that trial subscribers will also receive real-time trade alerts, daily updates, and McWilliams' State of Tech series, offering in-depth, sector-by-sector coverage of over 65 tech companies. The Q2 State of Tech report will be published in a series of updates beginning in late June. The Company noted that McWilliams covers these topics and more in his recent reports: -- Is it possible that Apple will switch to using Intel chips in the iPhone 5 that's expected to arrive later this year, or is the more logical assumption that it will move up to the dual-core ARM Holdings processor it used in the iPad 2? -- Might Apple switch to using a Qualcomm baseband chip in both the GSM and CDMA versions of the iPhone? If Apple makes this move, what chip can it eliminate from the design? -- Is it likely tablet manufacturers that have been unsuccessful in their attempts to compete with Apple will switch from using ARM processors and the Android operating system to Intel processors and a Windows operating system? What is the new "ultrabook" PC that Intel is pushing and when will it hit the streets? -- What's behind the weakness in Akamai shares? Are the prevailing trends in cloud computing aligning to benefit Akamai? Based on an in depth balance sheet and valuation analysis, what is McWilliams' fair value range for Akamai and how much upside does it represent? Could Akamai shares rebound to $40 before the end of the year? Next Inning's model portfolio has returned 306 percent since its inception versus 42 percent for the S&P 500. Next Inning is a subscription-based investment newsletter that provides regular coverage on more than 150 technology and semiconductor stocks.
