"Cincinnati Bell Volunteers spend about 20,000 hours a year serving Greater Cincinnati, and the annual Day in the Community is one of our most important initiatives," said Kevin Murray, vice president of information technology at Cincinnati Bell and president of the Cincinnati Bell Volunteers. "We look for opportunities to give back to the community, and it's very gratifying work for all of us."

Ten projects were part o the 2011 Day in the Community, including painting the offices of the Hearing, Speech & Deaf Center of Greater Cincinnati, cleaning and landscaping at the Campbell County Animal Shelter in Melbourne, KY, and baking and grilling for Starfire, an organization that promotes social opportunities and interaction for individuals with disabilities.
