Quantum Global Technologies acquires chamber cleaning and coating services business of Applied MaterialsJun 13, 2011 (Datamonitor Financial Deals Tracker via COMTEX) -- Quantum Global Technologies, LLC (QGT) has acquired Chamber Performances Services (CPS) semiconductor process kit precision cleaning, coating services and associated analytical testing services businesses from Applied Materials, Inc. in an all-cash transaction. Both the companies are based in the US. QGT is a provider of outsourced process tool parts cleaning and restoration services, while Applied Materials is a provider of equipment, services and software to enable the manufacture of advanced semiconductor, flat panel display and solar photovoltaic products. Announcement (April 5, 2011): QGT has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Applied Materials' CPS semiconductor process kit precision cleaning, coating services and associated analytical testing services businesses, in an all-cash transaction. Applied Materials will continue in the business of providing integrated service under the Applied Integrated Semi Service and Total Kit Management (TKM) brands with imbedded cleaning and coating services subcontracted to QuantumClean. The transaction is expected to close in May 2011.
