This event features artists from Wellington's Capital Blues Club, which celebrates it's 10th anniversary in 2011. Manalishi pay tribute to the wonderful blues of early-era Fleetwood Mac. Their set list covers the full range of material from that time, ranging from two songs performed by Peter Green while still with John Mayall's Bluesbreakers through to the last songs recorded by Peter with the band. Along the way, there's a whole range of blues material to be enjoyed, from straightforward blues shuffles featuring slide guitar in the style of Elmore James to the complex jazz based Jigsaw Puzzle Blues. Internationally acclaimed jazz artist and Grammy winner Broadbent made his name as a composer/arranger/ pianist with the Woody Herman Big Band. He has also worked as conductor/arranger for Diana Krall and Natalie Cole. Settling in Los Angeles, Broadbent worked with such notable musicians as Nelson Riddle, David Rose, Johnny Mandel and Henry Mancini. Denise Perrier is one of the foremost blues and jazz vocalists. In a career spanning 30 years, Perrier has performed throughout the US, Europe, and the Far East. Lead trumpeter with the famed Buddy Rich and Woody Herman Big Bands, Charley Davis has appeared on countless film and TV scores. He will perform in concert with Rodger Fox's Wellington Jazz Orchestra. Featuring some of Wellington's best-known jazz talent including Colin Hemmingsen, Alex Nyman, Matt Hitti, Lance Philip, Nick Granville, Anita Schwabe, Nick Van Dyke and Nick Tipping.
