Cloud Telecomputers' Glass IP Phone Earns Metaswitch Networks Certification

Cloud Telecomputers, a company offering business applications and IP telephony, announced that its Android (News - Alert)-based platform IP phone, Glass, has earned Metaswitch Networks Certification.


 
The certificate by Metaswitch Networks for Cloud Telecomputers Glass IP phone signifies that the platform has successfully completed interoperability testing with Metaswitch Networks, a provider of next generation infrastructure and applications to network operators.

 
With the Metaswitch Networks Certification, Cloud Telecomputers' (News - Alert) Glass platform becomes the latest addition to the growing list of Metaswitch Mosaic Certified solutions.
 
Metaswitch Networks' Mosaic Program is an ecosystem of company's partners and formalizes the company's relationships with third-party solution vendors. The program provides a framework for solution vendors to engage, in order to ensure that their solutions are certified with Metaswitch's platforms and are promoted within our customer base of service providers.
 
Currently, the Mosaic certifications cover a wide array of devices such as voice-enabled CPE, access platforms, applications, and more.

'By certifying Glass through the Mosaic Program, we ensure that Metaswitch customers gain access to a highly-advanced communications platform that complements our hosted PBX (News - Alert) solution.'
 
Launched in August 2009, Cloud Telecomputers' Glass platform is an Android-based one-touch desk-phone/calling device featuring business applications, Bluetooth integration and High-Definition (HD) audio.
 
Some of the key features of the Glass platform include: tap-to-dial, 8.9' high resolution (1024 x 600) capacitive touch color display, time billing without lost revenue, tap to order FedEX or UPS pickup, instant screen sharing, access to Salesforce data, tap to dial from a eb page and more.
 
As a Metaswitch Mosaic Certified device, The Glass platform will provide Metaswitch customers with key features that will not only save money but will also increase productivity. The high resolution capacitive touch color display facilitates users to take full advantage of the SIP features of the Glass IP phone.
 
With One-Touch Dialing feature on Glass, contacts are integrated into the easy-to-use Glass touchscreen. With instant screen sharing feature on the Glass platform, customers of Metaswitch can share anything displayed on a user's PC via a Web browser.
 
In addition, the recently-launched CloudTC Apps Marketplace makes it easy for customers of Metaswitch to search and download the applications that business users want to access from their desk phones.
 
Offering applications providers with benefits of an open development environment via Android OS, the Glass IP phone extensively provides flexibility and scalability, and the ability to integrate their applications with unique calling features on a large user screen.
