The bank said it recently discovered during routine monitoring that account information for about 1 percent of customers was viewed.

Nokia's head of technology takes time outHELSINKI, Finland (AP) _ The world's largest handset maker, Nokia Corp., says its head of technology is taking a leave of absence for an unspecified amount of time. Nokia spokeswoman Paivyt Tallqvist says Chief Technology Officer Richard Green is taking time off "to attend to a personal matter," but wouldn't give more details.

China's Sina plans English-language microblogBEIJING (AP) _ Sina Corp., a popular Chinese Web portal, said Thursday it will launch an English-language microblog aimed at users abroad, entering a market dominated by U.S.-based Twitter. The service will be a version of Sina's Chinese-language Weibo microblog, said a company spokesman, Mao Taotao.

More ads hit online TV as Web audiences growLOS ANGELES (AP) _ One of the rewards of watching TV online is not having to sit through as many commercials. Now the networks are chipping away at that little luxury. CBS shows twice as many ads per show on its website as it did last year. The CW network shows four times as many. Dozens of shows from major cable networks now carry as many ads online as they do on TV. More shows will follow soon.

That's the question posed by a new tablet computer that takes aim at one of the deficiencies of the iPad: that it's difficult to write on it with a stylus or pen. Nintendo stock plunges amid doubts about new WiiTOKYO (AP) _ Nintendo stock plunged Wednesday in Tokyo amid doubts about the consumer appeal of the Wii U, the much ballyhooed successor to its hit Wii video game console. The demonstration of a prototype at the Electronic Entertainment Expo, the gaming industry's annual convention, in Los Angeles on Tuesday, appeared to leave investors disappointed and skeptical.

Coupons.com gets $200M investmentPORTLAND, Ore. (AP) _ Digital coupon provider Coupons.com Inc. has received $200 million from undisclosed institutional investors, making it the latest Internet company to attract significant attention from the investor community. Coupons.com announced the deal Thursday but would not disclose the company's total valuation. A person close to the matter who wasn't authorized to speak publicly said the investment brings the company's value to $1 billion.

Firm: Apple surpasses HP as largest buyer of chipsNEW YORK (AP) _ Driven by the success of the iPhone and iPad, Apple Inc. has become the world's largest buyer of chips for computers and phones, a research firm said Wednesday. Apple bought $17.5 billion worth of chips last year, surpassing computer maker Hewlett-Packard Co. as the largest consumer, IHS iSuppli said. That was an increase of 80 percent from the year before, reflecting Apple's continuing sales surge.

EA to bring 'Sims' game to FacebookLOS ANGELES (AP) _ Major video game publisher Electronic Arts Inc. is bringing its popular "The Sims" role-playing game to Facebook. EA made the announcement on the sidelines of the Electronic Entertainment Expo, the video game industry's annual conference, known as E3.
