DDS Signs $5.3 Million in Contracts with European Customer

RICHMOND, BRITISH COLUMBIA, Jun 9, 2011 (Marketwire via COMTEX) -- DDS Wireless International Inc. (TSX:DD) ("DDS" or "the Company") announces today that its Taxi business unit, Digital Dispatch Systems, has signed important contracts with Sammenslutningen Taxa 4x35 ("TAXA 4x35") of Copenhagen, Denmark. The contracts include the implementation and licensing of Digital Dispatch's leading Pathfinder(TM) taxi dispatch system along with the sale of the Company's latest generation Vector 9000(TM) mobile data terminals. TAXA 4x35 will be upgrading its entire fleet and the contracts also provide for a long-term service agreement for support and maintenance of the system. The minimum value of the contracts is $4.6 million if TAXA 4x35 exercises an early termination provision for support and maintenance and the maximum value is $5.3 million. The Company expects to deliver approximately $1.4 million of licenses, hardware and services under the contracts by the end of the current year.

Operating under the well known "TAXA 4x35" brand, Denmark's oldest and largest taxi company has been a DDS customer for more than 10 years. It is one of several leading European taxi companies that rely on DDS fleet management technologies.

"Following an exhaustive review of competitive options, we have chosen to continue working with DDS as our strategic provider of technology," stated Niels Kaae, CEO of TAXA 4x35. "The professional services organization and the ease of conducting business made the difference in our final choice. We feel in safe hands at DDS." "We are very pleased that TAXA 4x35 has once again elected to employ DDS technology to ensure its competitiveness and growth," stated Patrick Nangle, President of Digital Dispatch Systems. "With this order, TAXA 4x35 joins Taxis G7 of Paris, Taxi Stockholm, Helsinki Taxi and several leading North American taxi companies, all of whom are in the process of upgrading to latest generation DDS solutions. We are very encouraged by this ongoing trend and vote of confidence from our customers." The best-in-class Pathfinder(TM) taxi dispatch system provides TAXA 4x35 with a flexible and extensible architecture to meet its present and future needs, including multiple dispatch options and scalability to support growth. The latest generation Vector 9000(TM) will provide it with advanced features and functionality such as Navigator Deluxe(TM) turn-by-turn navigation, high definition graphics and touch screen technology. In addition, the greater processing power, expanded memory, GPS and 3G wireless capabilities offered by the Vector 9000(TM) will enable TAXA 4x35 to further extend their system capabilities in the future.
