SailPoint Joins the Symantec Technology Enabled Program's New Compliance Track to Help Customers Address Security and Compliance Risks

SailPoint today announced it has joined the Symantec (News - Alert) Technology Enabled Program's new compliance track and plans to build an integrated solution that will enable its customers to automatically import comprehensive identity governance information from SailPoint IdentityIQ™ into Symantec Control Compliance Suite. The solution will provide detailed identity governance metrics to security and IT managers, enabling them to better analyze and manage risk, as well as prove compliance across complex datacenter and cloud IT environments. With this solution, companies will be able to view identity management metrics within a comprehensive IT GRC framework, complementing other security data and providing greater synergies across security and compliance initiatives.

SailPoint IdentityIQ provides centralized "identity intelligence" and automates preventive and detective controls over user access to critical applications and data. Symantec Control Compliance Suite allows organizations to bettermanage all aspects of IT risk through automated policy definition, controls mapping and assessment, and web-based interfaces. Through this collaboration Symantec Control Compliance Suite web interfaces and reports will automatically populate with key identity governance metrics from SailPoint IdentityIQ, such as:

• Access Certifications: the solution will provide summary reports and detailed metrics resulting from periodic access certifications and will allow Symantec Control Compliance Suite to monitor and report on the status of all pending certifications by manager, department, etc.
• Policy Violations: Symantec Control Compliance Suite will display results of IdentityIQ's policy scanning and analysis, showing detailed reports and alerts on access policy violations by severity.
• Risk Analytics: the integrated solution will display the results of IdentityIQ's risk analytics for users with access to critical applications and all system resources.
• Identity Intelligence: IdentityIQ's centralized information about users and their access privileges will be available within Symantec Control Compliance Suite to meet common compliance reporting needs. High-risk accounts such as privileged accounts and orphan accounts can be tracked and highlighted using this feature.
